Erin and Kale Sears are proud parents of three children: Finn (Plano West Class of 2025), Grey (Plano West Class of 2027), and Ainslee (Plano West Class of 2030). Her extensive experience in the Plano West feeder system includes numerous executive positions at Gulledge (Communications, Ways and Means, Membership, Treasurer, and President) and Robinson (Membership and Treasurer). She possesses a wealth of knowledge and enjoys helping her fellow PTA members grow in their roles. Additionally, Erin is active with the Jasper High School Band Boosters, Plano West Band Boosters, and the City of Plano Swimmers Leadership Council. She has also contributed to the Plano ISD Board Advisory Committee on Diversity and the Site-Based Curriculum Committees at both Gulledge and Robinson.
The Sears family are members of Christ United Methodist Church and have welcomed four exchange students into their home, all of whom attended PISD schools. Erin and her husband are dedicated volunteers with BSA Scout Troop 999. In 2023, both Erin and Kale were the inaugural recipients of the Erin and Kale Sears Outstanding Service Award from Plano Cub Scout Pack 200, a testament to their decade of service to the group. Professionally, Erin works from home as a pharmacist for Carelon. In her leisure time, she enjoys traveling, running, and cheering for the Texas Longhorns.
Erin views her involvement in the PTA as a vital way to connect with the community and stay engaged with the environment where her children spend much of their time. She is a firm believer in the power of collective efforts and values the advocacy work championed by the Texas PTA. Her dedication and service have made a significant impact on the students and schools she supports, and her contributions are deeply appreciated.
